Overview

National Debt Relief is seeking an IT Operations Manager to join our growing technology team in our NYC office. Reporting to the Director Desktop Services, the IT Operations Manager’s primary role is managing and maintaining computer inventory, preparing equipment for deployment, and overseeing a small group of technicians. The IT Operations Manager will be responsible for managing shipments, preparing user accounts, and ensuring that deployment procedures and SLAs are in place for all deployment requests. The candidate must be collaborative, customer service driven, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead daily operations of Operations Technicians and Provisioning Analysts, providing coaching, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 check-ins, quarterly process reviews, and team training to ensure consistent performance and process improvements.

Inventory and Equipment Management

  • Oversee hardware and software inventory, maintaining accurate ITSM records and ensuring sufficient stock levels.
  • Prepare reports on inventory, hardware deployment, and other metrics as requested.
  • Partner with the End-Point Management team for inventory audits and best practices.

Equipment Deployment and Shipping

  • Manage the packaging, shipment, and tracking of IT equipment for remote employees, ensuring readiness for day-one functionality.
  • Process returned equipment, track unreturned items, and coordinate hardware orders and replacements as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Shipping team and People Team for smooth onboarding and offboarding.

Onboarding, Offboarding, and Training

  • Manage user account creation and maintenance in Active Directory and Office 365.
  • Automate workstation builds and profile workstations for remote deployments.
  • Provide IT onboarding training for new hires and maintain comprehensive process documentation.

System Optimization and Process Improvement

  • Drive efficiency by automating workflows, reducing on-premise dependencies, and improving hardware replacement processes.
  • Conduct monthly system audits and ensure proper user management.
  • Collaborate on hardware/software refresh initiatives and contribute to knowledgebase updates for staff and employees.

Special Projects and Reporting

  • Support special tasks and cross-functional projects, delivering updates and insights to management.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, Information Systems or related discipline preferred.
  • 8 years’ experience in IT Operations or related IT discipline with responsibility for inventory management and hardware deployment for remote users
  • 8 years’ experience in oversight of account creations, system access audit and depth knowledge of IAM systems
  • Prior IT Management experience is required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven experience supporting large-scale environments with Windows and macOS.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Experience with Active Directory and Office 365 user account and mailbox management.
  • Proficient in IT ticketing systems and hardware/software asset management systems.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL principles, KPIs, and SLAs.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with staff at all levels.
  • Collaborative approach with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Prior experience providing remote user support.

Compensation Information

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $135,000 to $150,000 annually.
