Overview

The Compensation Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring fair and competitive compensation practices within National Debt Relief. In partnership with the Compensation team, they are responsible for reviewing compensation structures to optimize hiring and team member retention, facilitating annual merit and bonus cycles, and recommending updates to compensation practices based on pay legislation changes. This role requires a foundational understanding of compensation principles, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the People Team, prepare and maintain job descriptions and bonus agreements for company roles.
  • Analyze and interpret company pay practices and philosophy, and provide feedback based on company and market trends.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of company salary ranges and structures.
  • Provide analytical support and data analysis on projects and People Team metrics.
  • Perform audits of the HRIS (ADP Workforcenow) system, and the compensation change Wufoos to ensure accuracy in the system, and compliance with internal policies.
  • Use compensation management software (Payscale) to assess new and existing company roles for applicable pay data and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) exemption.
  • Prepare and present summary reports of job evaluations and compensation analysis details to applicable stakeholders.
  • Manages the annual merit cycle, and YE Bonus cycle including, design of merit tool, data migration, and training/communication to leaders.
  • Design communications and trainings regarding compensation at various levels of responsibility, including senior leadership.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • 3 years’ compensation or related experience required.
  • Certification in related area (SHRM-CP, CCP, etc.) preferred.
  • Knowledge of HRIS and compensation management systems (i.e., Payscale) preferred.
  • Microsoft Office suite (with an emphasis on Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) skills required.
  • Knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills, including familiarity with statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in compensation data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Available for full-time position, overtime eligible if classified non-exempt.

Compensation Information

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $71,000 to $81,000.
