Overview

The Client Loyalty L&D Manager is responsible for executing a Best-in-Class learning journey, managing the end-to-end onboarding, cross-skilling, and upskilling training programs. They oversee the department’s trainers, learning services, resources, and operations. Working in collaboration with the Director of Learning & Development, the Training Manager will serve as the bridge between strategic planning and operational execution.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Director of L&D, build, develop, and execute a Best-in-Class onboarding training program.
  • Revise training programs and recommend efficient training methods using Instructional System Design principles and Adult Learning Theories.
  • Create and maintain training calendars, schedules, and manage logistics and resource arrangements.
  • Oversee coordination with WFM to ensure timing and forward planning is achieved effectively, organized, and on time.
  • Conduct regular training needs analysis and develop tailored solutions.
  • Lead and manage a team of up to 12 learning professionals for new hire and production training.
  • Implement measurement strategies that track new hire retention and performance and trainer KPIs.
  • Conduct regular staff performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback, coaching, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Develop and implement train-the-trainer programs to enhance facilitation skills, ensure content consistency, and equip trainers with best practices for engaging and effective instruction.
  • Assess instructional effectiveness and summarize evaluation reports, determining the impact of training and how it affects learner KPIs.
  • Provide reporting, insights, and recommendations on training initiatives and programs.
  • Partner with the Instructional Design team to advise on the development of training programs and content in close alignment with Subject Matter Experts.
  • Oversee progress reports and advise on continued employment for new hires based on performance.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience managing trainers or an onboarding team.
  • 2 years of instructional design experience or related certifications such as ATD preferred.
  • 6 years of overall training experience, with at least 2 years as an Onboarding Specialist successfully onboarding new hires required.
  • Experience training virtually preferred.
  • Experience working with content authoring tools, including Articulate 360 (Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise), Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Captivate, PowerPoint.

  • Advanced understanding of L&D and training/adult education activities.
  • Demonstrated strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency working with Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone-On-Demand LMS a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Suite.

Compensation Information

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $100,000 to $124,000 annually.
