Overview

National Debt Relief is seeking a Network Administrator to join our growing technology team. Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure, the Network Administrator is responsible for the management, support and maintenance of our on-premises and cloud infrastructure ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.

The Network Administrator ensures the smooth day to day operation and scalability of the on-prem/cloud infrastructure. This role will work alongside members of the Infrastructure, Information Security and IT Support teams with a goal of maximum reliability of the on-prem/cloud infrastructure while maintain systems integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and troubleshoot network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud solutions, ensuring high availability and optimal performance across the infrastructure.
  • Oversee and manage cloud network configurations within AWS & Azure, ensuring efficient integration with on-premises and hybrid systems.
  • Implement network security policies and best practices using Fortinet, Palo Alto, Netskope and other security tools to protect the network from potential threats.
  • Management and migration of traditional infrastructure to cloud-based automated infrastructure.
  • Configure, maintain, and apply expertise on network protocols, web filtering & routing to optimize network traffic, to ensure optimal performance for mission-critical applications/cloud-based services for seamless network operation.
  • Proactively monitor network health using monitoring tools to detect and resolve issues, ensuring performance metrics are met and systems are always available and reliable.
  • Scripting languages and IT automation tools.
  • Contribute to the creation, maintenance & relevance of KBA and SOP documentation to improve team efficiency.
  • Keep up to date on current technologies, industry news, systems compliance requirements, standards and industry trends.
  • Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation for emergency issues escalated after-hours.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or IT related discipline preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience in a Network Administrator role required.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities to resolve complex network issues.
  • Ability to think strategically and deal effectively with competing priorities and demands.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and reprioritize work due to changing business/client requirements and demand.
  • Ability to strategically think through challenges while maintaining focus on business goals.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Inquisitive nature with experience of challenging other’s way of thinking.
  • Collaborative approach and strong relationship building skills for interaction between cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent listening skills, to enable the understanding and dissemination of requirements from varied stakeholders.
  • Strong change management understanding and adherence.
  • Comfortable with on-call support and after-hours escalation for critical network issues.
  • Attain and maintain high performance expectations consistently.

  • Computer competency and ability to work with a computer.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Punctuality expected, ready to report to work on a consistent basis.

  • Available for full-time position, overtime eligible if classified non-exempt.

Compensation Information

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $89k-107.5k annual
