Overview

As the Finance Director at National Debt Relief (NDR), you will play a key leadership role in our Finance team. This position is pivotal in shaping and driving the organization’s financial planning, risk management, and strategic decision-making processes. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, ensuring alignment with NDR’s operational and strategic goals.

In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across departments to deliver actionable insights, optimize workflows, and inform decision-making at the highest levels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning processes to support organizational goals.
  • Lead efforts to ensure financial stability by optimizing operational performance and aligning financial strategies with business objectives.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis and strategic planning.
  • Interpret large datasets to create detailed financial projections and actionable insights.
  • Analyze and assess cost metrics for key vendors, identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Perform in-depth analysis on methods for streamlining workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead and manage the FP&A team, ensuring effective execution of financial analysis, strategic initiatives, and workload prioritization.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to guide executive decision-making.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs to ensure alignment with financial and operational goals.
  • Present findings, financial models, and strategic recommendations to finance and department leaders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Build, maintain, and back-test sophisticated financial models to support decision-making and scenario planning.
  • Manage relationships with the accounting team to optimize internal reporting and improve financial processes.
  • Work on cross-functional strategic projects that support organizational objectives.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify operational gaps and implement improvements that align with financial goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree in a related discipline, preferred.
  • 10+ years in financial strategy or FP&A roles, with demonstrated experience managing complex financial analyses and presenting to leadership.
  • Proven leadership in managing and mentoring financial teams.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights.

  • Familiarity with financial systems and tools for forecasting and modeling.
  • Prior experience in financial services or related industries.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation Information

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $165,000 to $207,500 annually.
