Overview

As the Data Warehouse Product Manager at National Debt Relief, you will play a critical role in guiding and supporting the data engineering team in the development and optimization of our enterprise data warehouse (EDW) on Snowflake within our AWS environment. You will work closely with the analytics and BI teams to ensure NDR's data requirements are met with effective data warehouse solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for documenting data sources, maintaining the data catalog, and managing the current and planned data models. This hands-on individual contributor role demands strategic thinking, strong leadership, and comprehensive expertise in data governance, data modeling, and SQL, as well as proficiency in Snowflake. Exceptional communication and business acumen are essential.

 

Responsibilities

  • Define and prioritize the product roadmap for data warehouse initiatives in collaboration with the data engineering team.
  • Collect and translate business requirements from stakeholders into clear, actionable technical specifications.
  • Facilitate communication and alignment between business units and the data engineering team.
  • Oversee project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful execution of data warehouse initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic vision for the data warehouse, ensuring alignment with business needs and future goals.
  • Champion best practices in data management, governance, and security.
  • Provide strategic guidance to support scalable data models and ETL processes.
  • Implement and maintain robust data security measures and access controls.
  • Monitor and report on the performance and impact of data warehouse initiatives to senior management.
  • Drive the adoption of self-service analytics tools and technologies for data democratization across the organization.
  • Define and document data lineage from sources to curated data, including all transformations, ensuring transparency and traceability.
  • Build and maintain an enterprise data catalog and data dictionary that mirrors the data model and outlines available data elements and their usage for end users.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, business administration, or related field preferred. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5 years’ experience in product management or similar role within data warehousing required.

 

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Extensive experience with Snowflake and AWS environments.
  • Proven ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data curation.
  • Expertise in data governance, including data security, access controls, and compliance best practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in SQL.

 

Preferred Skills / Experience:

  • Experience in financial services or a related industry.
  • Familiarity with building out data cataloging tools.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts.
  • Knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Salesforce CRMA.

Compensation Information

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $125K-$151K annual.
