Overview

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will lead the analytics engineering function at National Debt Relief, optimizing existing analytics and BI data pipelines, data transformations, and Python automation scripts. This role requires a highly technical individual with strong business acumen who can work closely with business stakeholders and the rest of the Analytics & BI team to deliver clean, accurate data rapidly. In the short term, you will focus on delivering curated data sets to Salesforce CRMA via data flows and recipes, Python, and Azure SQL, while also optimizing current processes and maintaining existing infrastructure. Long term, as NDR builds out a cloud data warehouse, you will help lead the migration of the analytics layer to the data warehouse and upskill the team in technical skills as a senior technical lead.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize and maintain analytics and BI data pipelines, ensuring efficient data processing and transformation.
  • Develop and manage data transformations, API calls, and Python automation scripts.
  • Deliver curated data sets to CRMA via Salesforce data flows and recipes, Python, and Azure SQL.
  • Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of analytics infrastructure.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and workflows to identify and resolve issues.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and quality management.
  • Build and maintain analytics layer in cloud data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy and availability.
  • Help lead the migration of the analytics layer to the DW back-end via SQL.
  • Upskill the team in technical skills as a senior technical lead.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating new tools and techniques as appropriate.

 

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, or related field preferred. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5 years’ experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or related field required.

 

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in developing and optimizing data pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Azure, Redshift, or GCP.
  • Strong understanding of data integration, transformation, and visualization.
  • Experience building analytics layers in practical implementations.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and quality management practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables.

 

Preferred Skills / Experience:

  • Experience in financial services or a related industry.
  • Front line client-facing experience.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts.
  • Experience with API development and integration.

Compensation Information

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $119.5K-$144.5K annual.
