Overview

As the Director of Analytics & BI, you will lead the Analytics and Business Intelligence team at National Debt Relief as a key member of the Data Intelligence leadership team. This role is critical in transforming data into actionable insights, ensuring that your team not only provides rapid, accurate reporting and analysis but also acts as a consultative partner to the business. You will be responsible for creating and implementing a strategic roadmap for Analytics and BI that aligns with NDR’s business goals, while fostering a culture of data-driven decision making. You will collaborate closely with data engineering and data science teams to align on overall data strategy, prioritization, and the data roadmap for NDR.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Analytics and BI managers and analysts to deliver high-quality, automated reporting and strategic analytics.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation within the Analytics and BI team.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs, hypotheses, and problem statements, acting as a consultative partner to refine analytics and reporting requirements.
  • Lead the team in taking business problems and hypotheses and providing data-driven solutions.
  • Coach and develop the Analytics and BI team to effectively present findings from analytics to senior leaders.
  • Become an expert on business processes and priorities to create Analytics and BI solutions addressing root cause opportunities.
  • Liaison with business units to define and standardize business KPIs and ensure they align with strategic goals.
  • Oversee the implementation and management of dashboards and analytics data sets in CRMA, Power BI, Tableau, ensuring the platform is maintained, monitored for utilization, and access is appropriately managed.
  • Improve the speed and performance of dashboards and reports, and oversee the migration of legacy data feeds to the new EDW architecture.
  • Continuously monitor and improve Analytics and BI processes, implementing best practices for data governance and quality management.
  • Collaborate with Data Science and Data Engineering teams for seamless data integration, and provide training and support to business users on Analytics and BI tools and data utilization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, business, or relevant work experience is preferred.
  • 10 years’ experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field required.  
  • Proven experience in leading an Analytics and BI team, including managing managers and analysts.
  • Strong consultative skills with the ability to explore business requests and uncover underlying needs.
  • Expertise in BI tools such as Salesforce CRMA, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Experience with data integration, transformation, and visualization.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data security practices.
  • Proficient in SQL, with experience coaching BI developers on data best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering BI solutions on time and within budget.
  • Ability to foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Computer competency, including the use of a keyboard and ability to look at a computer screen for extended periods of time.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Punctuality expected, ready to report to work on a consistent basis.
  • Attain and maintain high performance expectations on a monthly basis.
  • Work in a face-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Use and navigate multiple computer systems with exceptional multi-tasking skills.
  • Remain calm and professional during difficult discussions.
  • Take constructive feedback.
  • Available for full-time position, overtime eligible if classified non-exempt.

Compensation Information

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is 177,000 - 223,500
