Overview

National Debt Relief is seeking a seasoned, hands-on, and highly motivated, Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about helping customers get out of debt. In this role, you’ll leverage a wide-ranging skill set, with a primary focus on front end development utilizing NodeJS, Salesforce LWC/ Aura components and other modern JavaScript/CSS libraries to create an intuitive experience for our customers.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, a curious problem solver, and a collaborative teammate who thrives in a highly agile, multi-directional team environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain user interfaces using front-end programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize application performance for various devices.
  • Actively participate in retrospectives and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the development team.
  • Create delightful, insightful, performant, and engaging digital experiences for our current and prospective clients.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with colleagues, including stakeholders, engineers, and product teams to help influence, own, and improve our current tools and applications.
  • Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from stakeholders, colleagues, and leaders.
  • Manage your work using GitHub, Jira, and our build/deploy systems.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects including ongoing evaluation and re-ordering of priorities as business needs dictate.
  • Aid in the testing of our code and the delivery of what we create to production.
  • Help resolve technical issues/blockers as a developer on the team.
  • Work with teams across the company to troubleshoot/determine resolution for complex issues across team domains.
  • Have fun, get creative, and deliver value together with the whole team.

Qualifications

  • 7 years software development experience with a focus on user interfaces and integrations with 3rd party APIs required.
  • At least 5 years working in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, & NodeJS.
  • WordPress experience a plus.
  • Salesforce LWC, Aura and Apex experience a plus.
  • At least two end to end experiences as part of a large product release from inception to launch to post-launch test and optimization.
  • Experience working in financial services industry is a plus.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Flexible and creative in problem solving and identifying process improvements.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with strong ability to manage and deliver through clear communication and expectation setting.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written (Jira/Email/Slack) and verbal to engage stakeholders at all levels; this includes when and how to speak up if a proposed technical solution is not optimal.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and recommend their adoption where applicable.
  • Exceptionally organized with meticulous attention to detail, including ability to estimate level of effort for a given project with history of completing work within 25% of original estimate.
  • Understanding of how user testing works and the value of it.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.

Compensation Information

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $134,500-$162,250 annual.
