We’re looking for a Director of Product Marketing & Management to create, lead, and build our product marketing function in support of building a strong, positive, and clear public perception of the National Debt Relief (NDR) brand. You’ll report to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing and play a critical role in shaping how we communicate our products and services to clients, ensuring a clear understanding of the value we offer and creating consistency and clarity across the organization surrounding our products and internal branding.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with Marketing & Client Experience (CX), craft and execute a cohesive, distinctive product marketing strategy, inclusive of product positioning and messaging for NDR’s entire product portfolio. This includes our core and ancillary/add-on product and service offerings, productizing out client journey stages, as well as internal and micro-branding. Elements of the product marketing strategy should include, but may not be limited to, identifying and creating key value propositions and messaging around consumer pain points, features/benefits, and rational and emotional “reasons to believe,” and translating these into segment-specific messaging.
  • Lead new release marketing by collaborating with the Product and Customer Experience teams to ensure a deep understanding of new features, updates, ancillary offerings and strategic partnerships, translating technical details into compelling marketing messages and helping to shape launch and messaging strategies. Drive testing and validation plans to rationalize recommendations as needed.
  • Own GTM planning and execution, including identifying target clients/consumers and understanding their journey, and partnering with key cross-functional stakeholders to plan, execute and maximize on goals and KPIs. Analyze and track performance to identify future opportunities.
  • In collaboration with CX and other relevant cross-functional teams, set strategic direction and vision for our core and ancillary offerings, including direction for assessing opportunity and fit for new offerings.
  • Partner with Product, CX, and other relevant cross-functional teams to influence and maintain a comprehensive product and service roadmap. Work with Brand Communications to maintain a holistic communications calendar, inclusive of product marketing/launch milestones.
  • Support full-funnel marketing initiatives as a subject matter expert and campaign lead for all NDR products and work closely with cross-functional team leads on key initiatives and assets that include driving awareness, interest, and enrollment of our products. Partner with the Product and CX Teams on strategic copy needs across the client journey.
  • Champion adoption and socialization of the product marketing strategy across the organization and own product-related cross-functional team enablement. Ensure all relevant teams are in alignment on priorities, positioning and messaging, and receive clear information to be able to communicate and support each product as directed. Work with key stakeholders to solicit feedback about messaging and marketing resonance/impact.
  • Partner with CX team's Research and Insights group to stay on top of competitive intelligence and industry, client and consumer insights; gather feedback from clients, prospects, and partners to inform product strategy, refine messaging, and identify opportunities.
  • Own the product marketing budget – from budget recommendations to execution spend management. Develop new offers and positioning to acquire and retain clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • 8 years’ experience required across one or more of the following: product marketing, brand strategy, customer experience, product development, or a similar discipline.
  • 3 years of direct product marketing experience – you have a clear idea of the playbooks and frameworks to use and how to create a product marketing strategy and plan, and lead execution seamlessly.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry and/or with a call center and digital sales structure is a plus.
  • Experience with people management is a plus.
  • Experience with service based (non-physical goods) is essential.
  • Demonstrated success leading GTM strategies and plans with positive ROI and business impact.
  • Ability to think holistically and strategically about product marketing and how it fits into the bigger organizational picture.
  • A strong, articulate and strategic communicator and storyteller, with the ability to clearly translate difficult concepts into easy-to-understand ideas and language. Should also be able to clearly and articulately present ideas and information with clear rationale.
  • High EQ and strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; a team player, positive collaborator, and all-around good human.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of relevant KPIs and how to leverage data to inform decisions and measure performance; must be able to speak confidently about tying these success measures back to business impact.
  • Is organized and detail-oriented; someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, can balance multiple projects easily, and prioritize and pivot effectively as needed.
  • Has experience working closely and directly with leadership/c-suites.
  • Stellar writing skills and experience with strategic, on-brand copywriting.

Compensation Information

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $157,000 to $190,000.
